How Does Activated Carbon Work?
When chemicals, gases and odors pass slowly through a thick filter packed with activated carbon substances are permanently trapped in the millions of pores in the activated carbon. Due to the large internal area activated carbon may adsorb up to 40% of its weight.

Air scrubbers should be powerful enough to clean your air volume 6 times per hour.

For example, a 20 by 30 foot room with a 12 foot ceiling has a volume of 7,200 cubic feet. In this example your air scrubber must deliver 720 cubic feet of clean air each minute to clean the air 6 times per hour.
