Allerair specializes in removal of airborne chamicals. Their three executive models Allerair 4000, Allerair 5000 and the Allerair 6000 contain many pounds of activated carbon plus HEPA filters.
Allerair's Vocarb units Allerair 4000 VOC, Allerair 5000 VOC and the Allerair 6000 VOC contain an enhanced activated carbon to adsorb voaltile organic compounds.
DS units are designed for tobacco smoke control. The Allerair 5000 DS and the Allerair 6000 DS contain tar filters and additonal carbon 3 inches deep.
Airpura Industries has a modern design. Air is drawn in 360 degrees around the circumference of their units. All models have a variable speed control for noise control. Airpura units are relatively quiet. They are powerful units delivering up to 350 cubic feet of clean air per minute.
The general purpose air purifier Airpura R600 has 18 lbs carbon of activated carbon, 40 sq ft HEPA filter and Pre-filters.

The basic scientific principals involved in Austin Air's Healthmate air purifier are rooted in the use of activated carbon, True Medical HEPA filtration media, and depending on the filter’s purpose impregnated carbon. By forcing the air through these various filtration media Austin Air filters removes 99.97% of all air borne particulate matter larger than 0.3 microns, while eliminating over 3000 toxic gases and odors.
The National Sleep Foundation Bedroom Machine by Austin Air uses a five stage, advanced HEPA filter system, designed to remove common bedroom pollutants such as cooking gasses, dry cleaning chemicals, and other airborne irritants and allergens.

Standard HEPA filters remove particles as small as .3 microns. Healthpro units remove particles as small as .003 microns. Each Healthpro is tested and certified to ensure performance. The IQAir HealthPro Plus has a 5 pound activated carbon gas and odor filter. The HealthPro and HealthPro Compact remove only particles. The Healthpro may be upgraded to the HealthPro Plus.
