The 5000 Exec Pro features 5 stages of filtration to neutralize chemicals, gases, mold spores, tough odors and particles.

1. Easy-Clean Pre Filter

Stops larger particles from clogging the HEPA.
Can be cleaned with a vacuum.

2. HEPA

Medical grade true HEPA filter, warm rolled to prevent cracking at the folds.
Traps 99.97% of all airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns.

3. Carbon

Larger carbon filters are available for heavy chemical, gas and odor control. The standard 18 lb carbon filter is 2.5 inchs thick. The D 24 lb carbon filter is 3.0 inches thick. The DX 27 lb carbon filter is 3.5 inches thick. A Micro-HEPA filter will replace the full sized HEPA filter to accomodate the larger carbon filter.

Deeper carbon filters increase "Dwell Time", the length of time chemicals, gases and odors are in contact with the adsorbing carbon surface. Deeper carbon filters are more effective in adsorbing chemical, gas and odor molecules.
A 10 watt Ultraviolet Lamp is available. Ultraviolet light is a proven technology used for sterilizing both air and water. It is widely used in air purifiers for the medical industry to neutralize airborne tuberculosis, cold and flu viruses, smallpox, anthrax, and other airborne diseases and bacteria. UV used in indoor air purifiers has also proven effective against airborne mold mycotoxins, animal dander, cat saliva, dust mites, and pollen.

This all-purpose unit filters 99.97% of airborne particles using a true HEPA filter. It features a cylindrical shape for maximizing the air flow, casters for easy maneuverability and a five-stage powerful filtration system which uses 18 lbs of activated MAC-B™ executive mix of carbon to adsorb chemicals, gases and odors from the air you breathe.

18 Lb. MAC-B carbon filter bed

The more carbon you have the more pollutants will be trapped.

Most mass marketed air purifiers have only a few grams of carbon sprayed on a mesh filter and trap only a small amount of gases and odors for a short length of time.

Activated carbon is like a sponge; when it is full it can absorb no more.
